I met Liz while speaking at Fort Mill High School’s career day this year and was so excited to get a call from her to photograph her daughter Lillie. She would be a flower girl in an upcoming wedding and she wanted to get some cute pictures of her in her flower girl dress since it was such a fun dress and age for her to be a flower girl. Lillie was so full of giggles and wonderful expressions I just could not get enough of her. We also invited along Lillie’s friend James to be in some of the photos, as well as star in a couple of his own. He was such a sweet boy, and I even snuck a picture of him and his grandma as he was waiting his turn for pictures. The two of them were so sweet together and I had such a fun time capturing them on their little fishing date at The Ivy Place.
North Carolina Wedding Photographer | Emily's Bridal Session | yah Photography /
Emily is such an amazing spirit that I love to be around. Her personality shined through during her engagement session and I loved seeing it again from her during her bridal session. When trying to figure out location we were bouncing around all different types of ideas but ended up with choosing her family farm in Monroe, North Carolina. She grew up there and I felt it was the absolute best location for her session. Especially since she has a great relationship with her dad and decided that she would surprise him with a picture of her on the wedding day! (see the picture below) Her sister also dressed up for the day and we made sure to snap just a couple fun sister pictures to gift to her parents as well! I know their wedding will be beautiful and I can’t wait to see her dad’s reaction when he gets his present from her!

Stacy is one of my favorites! You know when you meet someone and instantly connect, that is how we were! When we got together to plan out Hailey’s session I asked her what Hailey was into right now and she said cupcakes… instantly I thought how cool would it be to do the session in a cupcake shop! Stacy was all for the idea and contacted SAS Cupcakes in Charlotte, North Carolina and they said for us to come on down. One of the even cooler things is that the highchair that we used for the shoot was passed down from three generations to Stacy who now used it with Hailey! I love incorporating heirlooms into sessions, and what better way to do it than with cupcakes =) While Hailey was our main focus due to it being her 1st birthday we could not forget her sweet brother Brayden. I took his pictures for his 2nd birthday last year (see here) and he was super sweet then and has become even sweeter with age. He was so excited to show me all his awesome play clothes while in his superman outfit. And when we ventured outside for our super cute set up in the washtub for Hailey he wanted to make sure he helped us out as well! The two of them will grow up to be such awesome siblings and I can’t wait to see what this next year holds for them! Thanks so much to SAS Cupcakes for making this session possible! If you have not tried one of their cupcakes you are missing out!
Hightower Hall Photographer | McConnells SC | Kayla Bridal Session | yah Photography /
When Kayla and I had our first meeting, she told me that she for sure wanted a bridal session. Not all brides opt for this session but those that do absolutely love it and have so much fun in the process. The day we had Kayla's session planned it was so chilly, we were bummed as we wanted to do a lot of the shots outside. We found a lot of great locations inside and then Kayla braved the cold for a couple outside and I was so impressed. I was freezing and I had leggings, a jacket and longs sleeves on. But no matter where she was at the Hightower Hall she looked stunning in her dress. I can't wait until Andrew and the rest of the people attending the wedding get to see her!
Venue: Hightower Hall
Dress: Bedazzled

Sara and Michael are near and dear to my heart. From my first consultation with Sara, I knew we had hit it off to a good start when she showed me her wedding planning and inspiration notebook and one of the pictures she loved and that had inspired her was one I had shot and she had no idea! Then on the different occasions we met together helping her plan the wedding, engagement session, etc. she was just always so full of laughs and excited to see what I would capture her wedding day! Going into it the day we had the amazing opportunity of not only doing a first look, some pictures right after, but also some pictures at sunset too! After their first look we had so much fun capturing the two of them in wedding day bliss, then the bridal party joined for some fun. While we were shooting those the boys jumped up in the barn, and we thought wouldn't that be cool if Sara got up there with Michael for some. I mentioned it to her and she was like heck yeah help me up! We were able to capture some really fun and amazing pictures in the barn that she is sure to treasure forever. Then to top it all off, we had an amazing sunset. This led to a gorgeous bubble exit with all of their guests, and one of what I know will be Sara and Michael's favorite images up on the field. I knew from their engagement session that Sara loved silhouettes, so I asked her and Michael to trust me and for her to jump in his arms and the picture below is what I was able to get. I know the two of them will have a wonderful marriage with a lot of beautiful pictures to show from it!
