I absolutely loved everything about this session! For one I love the McPhail Family, two I love The Ivy Place (the location of the shoot) and three I love maternity sessions, especially when we can involve the whole family and do some beautifully creative things! This sessions was nothing short of that! When Jennifer emailed to tell me they were expecting I was super excited and while sharing with her some of the ideas I had for the session we were both on the same page and both loved how the session turned out! Especially on such a beautiful fall day with amazing sunlight!

When I received an email from Jeremy letting me know that he was wanting to propose to Kenzie and get it all captured on the camera I was ecstatic! I had been wanting to photograph this moment for someone and Jeremy and Kenzie were the absolute perfect couple to be able to have the honor of capturing it for. After about a month of correspondence and planning the day finally arrived. Jeremy had even worked it out that Kenzie's parents could be there to be a part of the moment. He had informed Kenzie that they would be taking some pictures for their two year anniversary. The two of them have modeled and taken photographs for friends multiple times so this was nothing new for Kenzie. On the day of the shoot I made sure to help get Kenzie's parents in place, Jeremy kept calm, and throughout the entire shoot Kenzie had no idea. It got to the spot where Jeremy and I had discussed the approach to the proposal. I would pose Kenzie a couple feet in front of him so he could get down on one knee and I would have her turn around. I was so nervous I was going to ruin the moment, but Jeremy did amazing and the rest ensued so beautifully! I was at a loss for words, as were the two of them! It was such an amazing moment and I was so happy to be able to document it for them! I can't wait to see how beautiful their wedding will be!

Elizabeth and Mitchell are so much fun! The two of them together is such a great combination. Their wedding in uptown Charlotte was filled with love from all of their friends and family. They also had an amazing bubble exit followed by leaving in a horse and carriage. One of the moments I enjoy most at each wedding is getting to sneak away the bride and the groom for just one more couples shot into the evening. This gives them one more time to really remember the evening and get to be with each other with no one else around! For this wedding we were able to do that under the lovely marquee sign right next door at the Dilworth Neighborhood Bar & Grill. That made an amazing ending to a beautiful wedding day. Erin is an absolute natural when it comes to being in front of the camera! And she was amazing at being natural in her wedding dress too! Her bridal session at Duke Mansion was amazing, we had gorgeous weather and to top it off she had caught the toss bouquet at the wedding she had attended the night before! Such a perfect sign that her bridal session and wedding would be amazing!
